2016 Bowness Finalist

Date Published
31st August 2016

Earlier this year I received the exciting news that one of my images from the recent series The Taisho Photographer’s House has been chosen as a finalist in the 2016 William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize.

The image above (Nexus – Annex) was chosen as one of 60 finalists which will all be exhibited at the Monash Gallery of Art from the 1st of September until the 16th of October 2016. I’m very proud to be among these finalists who have all produced some really incredible and varied work. My particular favourites are Mike Gray’s Backyard Bag Study, Helga Leunig’s Site of the Bonegilla migrant camp and Michael Williams’ Mothership.

I’ll be attending the opening event at MGA on the 7th, if anyone is in town and interested in checking out the show together.
