The Taisho Photographer’s House (Video)

As a companion piece to my 2016 solo exhibition, I enlisted colleague Irwin Wong to help me make a video.

Thanks to my friend Florian I was made aware of a beautiful old house in the hills of northern Japan which was slowly falling apart.

Inside the house, I found some amazing old photographs which allowed us to compare the collapsing house now to how it was in its prime.

Over the course of a year this became my main fine art project in 2016. On one of my many trips to the site, I directed my colleague Irwin Wong in producing the below video.

Music by the always fantastic Hakobune.
